Over a third of J.D. Power and Associates latest 2014 Vehicle Dependability Study award winning vehicles were GM vehicles.
To determine dependability, J.D. Power studied 2011 model year vehicles (or 3 year old vehicles) and measured problems reported by their original owners, for one year. According to J.D. Power, "The Vehicle Dependability Study is used extensively by vehicle manufacturers worldwide to help design and build better vehicles, which typically translates to higher resale values and higher customer loyalty."
